Stoneware serviette holder with textured design, ideal for Summer BBQs when the wind blows!
Hand building process
Each serviette holder is made from either grey stoneware clay and imprinted with a design on the exterior. The interior is smooth. The holders have two firings, the first reaching around 1000 degrees centigrade and the second, depending upon the glaze to over 1200 degrees. As the holders are formed by hand and not used making a wheel, each is unique and individual, and subject to some irregularity. The process takes more than 2 weeks to complete – this allows for the original rolling out, approximately 1 week drying before the first firing, glazing and then final firing and cooling.
