Lorraine Clifton Ceramics offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, polices and notices stated here.

By visiting the site and / or purchasing something from me, you engage in my “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”). These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and / or contributors of contents.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using the website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services. If these Terms of Service are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms of Service.

My store is hosted on Cloudflare/WooCommerce and provides me with the online e-commerce platform that allows me to sell my products and services to you.

The information displayed on the website is correct to the best of my knowledge at time of publication. However, Lorraine Clifton Ceramics gives no guarantees, warranties or assurances of any kind that the site is error free and reserves the right to make modifications at any time without prior notification.

PRIVACY:

I will not divulge or pass on your email address, postal address or telephone number to any other person or company. I may contact you either by post, email or telephone, primarily as customer service following up on any issues with an order or to answer any questions you may have.

Any links to third party websites are for your information only and I accept no responsibility for their content or privacy practices.

DESCRIPTION OF GOODS AND SERVICES:

I am a ceramics designer and maker, selling my pottery to the public via my website, other online platforms, from my studio, to a selection of independent shops and galleries, and at a small number of local events.

All my work is individually made by hand and therefore, each piece varies slightly in the final shape and size, giving each piece a uniqueness that cannot be found in items that are mass produced. All images, product descriptions and dimensions are approximate and may vary.

PACKAGING:

My aim is to use products that are kindest to the environment, such as paper and cardboard and will only use plastics, either as a last resort, or as a recycling method.

PAYMENTS:

All transactions are in £ sterling. We accept all major credit cards. Payments are taken via Stripe and Paypal.

DELIVERY:

If items are in stock, I aim to dispatch all online orders within a day of your order or at the latest within 3-5 working days. II will contact you if dispatch will take longer than 10 working days. However, bespoke and commissioned items can take up to 2-3 weeks to make plus delivery. At all times, I will keep you informed of the design, hand building and firing process, if agreed with regular photos so you are fully involved with the process.

All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. I will endeavour to keep the site fully updated with new products and remove old items. However, if your order cannot be fulfilled, I will contact you to discuss available options or to arrange a full refund.

Important information for customers from outside the UK: If you order is to be delivered outside of the UK, it may attract import duty and local taxes, which customers will need to pay upon receipt of the shipment. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you. These rules vary by country and your local government determines duty and customs charges. You must contact your local customers office for further information.

ANY RETURNS:

I hope you will be completely satisfied with your purchase. However, if for some reason you require a refund, please email me within 7 days of receipt. All items must be returned in an unused condition and in the original packaging. You will be responsible for the cost of returned items and I recommend a tracked or signed for service as I cannot accept responsibility for any items lost or damaged in transit.

The cost of goods returned will be refunded within 7 days of safe receipt by me.

I carefully check and package all items, but if your item is damaged or faulty on arrival, please contact me on [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery, with a photograph clearly showing the damage to the product, along with the packaging.

Please note that used or customer-damaged items and all sale items cannot be refunded or exchanged.

PRODUCT CARE:

The website clearly states my recommendations for cleaning each item. I cannot take responsibility for damages occurring due to improper care.

Orders

When purchasing an item for mailing in the UK, please use the drop down box options. If you wish to purchase an item from this site that requires mailing outside of the UK, please email me on [email protected] and quote the name of the item, the size, any texture and colour required and I will contact you by email with a quote for total postage charges. After you have placed an order, I will send you an invoice – once payment has been received, I will then commence making your order unless items are in stock.

Most items will need to be made on receipt of orders, so please allow up to 21 days for dispatch. This includes up to 21 days for hand building, drying, firing and glazing. Delivery time is dependent upon geographical destination. I reserve the right to add or withdraw designs and adjust prices without prior notice.

Returns

All items are made by hand and are individual, subsequently they may vary slightly from the products shown on this website. I make every effort to match the items shown but should you wish to return your order because you are dissatisfied, please include a photo of the top and reverse of your item and I will be pleased to accept undamaged returns within 10 days of receipt, appropriately packed and posted by either a tracked or recorded delivery service. Provided the item(s) is received in perfect condition a full refund will be made, although this will not include the cost of the return postage. I cannot accept responsibility for any breakages incurred during return mailing.

Data Protection

Any information supplied by you will be treated in the strictest confidence and not passed to third parties under any circumstances.
