Six stoneware pottery Glass Charms for stem glassware

Hand building process

The clay for the glass charms is hand rolled from grey stoneware clay, imprinted on one side, cut to shape, and left to dry.  The glass charms have two firings, the first to around 1100 degrees centigrade and the second, to over 1200 degrees.  Prior to the final firing, the charms are painted with either a bright underglaze or a glossy glaze.  Whilst every attention is made in refining the charms, they will be subject to irregularities in shape – each one is unique!  The process takes around than 2 weeks to complete – this allows for the hand rolling of each charm, drying before the first firing, glazing and then final firing and cooling.

Each charm has an aluminium, silver toned ring attached which has a diameter of approximate 2.5 cm.

The sets come in either mixed shapes/same colour or same design/mixed colours.  The price is for 6 charms, handmade in my studio in the Surrey Hills
