Large Holey Bowl
£60.00
Stoneware pottery holey bowl ideal for use with Summer salads, serving fruit or fresh nuts, or simply to display in your home
Hand building process
The discs for the bowls are hand rolled from grey or red stoneware clay and then individual cut, joined and sealed and then placed around a mould until dry. The bowl has two firings, the first to around 1000 degrees centigrade and the second, to over 1200 degrees. Whilst every attention is made in refining the bowl, it will be subject to irregularities in shape – each one is unique! The process takes around than 2-3 weeks to complete – this allows for the hand rolling of each coil, drying before the first firing, glazing and then final firing and cooling.
The price is for one large or small bowl, handmade in my studio in the Surrey Hills
